Bob and Tyleen Rentfro An Honestly Good Man February 22, 2009

Carole and Kids,

Tyleen and I are sorry for your loss. Jerry will be missed here by many, but he is being welcomed in Glory by many more. He has a lot of story telling to catch up on. I remember those days in Creve Coeur fondly...making sure all the AWANA kids got picked up....making sure the vans stayed running....making sure all was done to the glory of God. Jerry always told me he had a list of questions he was going to ask Noah when he got to Heaven...I'm sure he's halfway through already.

Angie (Smith) Thomas Friend of the family February 21, 2009

Carole and family,

Many thoughts of your family and ours at church functions, school ball games and just being together over the years.  My thoughts of your husband are always of him carrying his big black Bible with him.  I know that one thing is for sure he is up in Heaven cutting up with my dad too.  We will all be with them one day together again. Prayerfully soon.

Love to all of you during this time,

Susan Kelso Story Teller February 21, 2009
I remember the funny stories Jerry would always tell. Especially the funny happenings of your vacations etc. May God be with you and comfort you and your family as you face Jerry's going to be with the Lord. We can rejoice that one day we will see him again! And boy will he have stories for us then!!! So sorry that I will miss the visitation and seeing all of your family again. But know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. love you Carole!
Ernie & Leslie Smalley Servant of the Lord February 20, 2009

Dear Carole and family,

We send our deepest sympathy.  We loved serving the Lord with you and your family, and we are praying for you that God's comfort will surround all of you.  "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:7).

Nancy Wiedenbenner Coats Passion for the things of the Lord February 20, 2009

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and father.  You have had a special place in the lives of our family for so many years.  I remember Mr. Longstreths passion for discussing scriptural topics, telling stories, and of course his humor.  What a wonderful heritage he left all of his children and grandchildren in his passion for the things of the Lord.  This song reminded me of him now.

     Saved by Grace

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story saved by grace,

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story saved by grace.

We are thinking of you all and praying for you at this time of loss.

Love in Christ, Nancy Coats

Larry & Judy Wiedenbenner Faithful Friend February 20, 2009

Jerry and Carole have been our precious Christian friends since our college days.

We have stayed in contact thru the years, watched our children grow up, and

served the Lord in several ministries together.  Jerry will be greatly missed--we

loved him and his humor and his looooong talks!!! These are memories that

we will always cherish.

We are praying for Carole and all the children and family.  Please know that your friends love you all.  Thank you, Jerry, for being such a wonderful Christian Friend--just a phone call away.  We cherish all our family times together.  God bless you

now and always.

Amy Schrepfer Faithful servant February 20, 2009

Jerry was a faithful servant of Christ who lived what he believed.  He will be sorely missed.  My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time of loss.  Thanks be to God for the hope that is in Christ Jesus & that this light, momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal glory to be revealed in Him.  Joy comes in the morning.

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus." - 1 Thess 4:13-14.
